Invisalign in Singapore

Get Your Teeth Straightened Discreetly and Comfortably

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign in Singapore is a unique and well-established form of orthodontic treatment that offers a virtually invisible and more comfortable alternative to traditional metal braces and retainers. It uses custom-made, clear plastic aligners to fit perfectly over your teeth and gradually move them into the desired position. Invisalign braces are also removable, allowing you to eat, brush your teeth and floss as per normal.

With PKWY Dental Specialist Practice’s Invisalign at affordable prices, we can help give you that beautiful smile in a hassle-free way.

Invisalign First for Kids

PKWY Dental provides the Invisalign First – an early orthodontic solution specifically designed for children, starting from around 7 years old.

With the Invisalign First, we ensure that developing orthodontic problems can be addressed early on with predictable results and a positive experience for growing children.

Invisalign Palatal Expander

PKWY Dental provides the Invisalign Palatal Expander – an advanced orthodontic solution designed to widen the palate (roof of the mouth) in a non-invasive, comfortable manner.

With the Invisalign Palatal Expander, we ensure that there will be sufficient space in the upper dental arch for teeth to align properly, reducing the need for more complex treatments in the future.

How does Invisalign works?

These removable aligners are personalised to move teeth comfortably and with no dietary or activity restrictions.

We will discuss and tailor a customised treatment plan during your first visit. This session is called the Smile Assessment consisting of dental X-rays, photos and digital scans using the iTero Element.

Using the iTero Element scan, we will customise a 3D treatment plan. This will depict the expected final position of your teeth and also give you an indicated timeline of your treatment duration.

The customized aligners or retainers will be made and delivered to our clinic.

You will receive your custom aligners, which you must wear daily. Each set of aligners must be replaced every 1 to 2 weeks.

You will visit us every 6 to 8 weeks (or as advised by the dentist) to check on your progress. We will also give you your next set of replacement aligners during these checkups.

Congratulations on completing your Invisalign treatment in Singapore! Make sure to wear your retainers to maintain your new smile.

How long does
Invisalign treatment take?

The length of Invisalign treatment depends on the complexity of teeth movement and it can only be determined by your dentist. It can range from 6 months to 24 months.

What Can Invisalign Fix?

PKWY Dental Specialist Practice provides affordable Invisalign treatments that are suitable for almost every teen and adult.
A Smile Assessment at our Invisalign clinic can show you the end results of using Invisalign braces even before starting the treatment.

  • Underbite: An underbite is when your lower teeth protrude farther than your upper teeth. The severity of the malocclusion ranges from mild and unnoticeable to severe and causes pain and biting or chewing issues.
  • Open Bite: An open bite is when your top and bottom front teeth do not properly align when you close your mouth, leaving an opening in the middle (anterior open bite). It is also called an open bite when your upper and lower back teeth do not connect when you close your jaws (posterior open bite).
  • Crossbite: A crossbite is when your upper and lower teeth do not properly align when you bite down. Specifically, it is characterised by the upper teeth sitting behind the lower teeth.
  • Protrusion: Also known as bucked teeth, protrusion is when your upper front teeth protrude or are angled outwards in such a way that they stick past your lower teeth.
  • Spacing: Diagnosed as diastema, spacing occurs when missing teeth do not cause gaps between your teeth. It can develop in between any teeth, but the spacing is more common and noticeable in the front teeth.
  • Crowding / Crowded Teeth: The opposite of spacing, crowding is when you do not have adequate space on your jaw for all your teeth. This causes the teeth to grow in unnatural and crooked positions.
  • Crooked Teeth: Crooked teeth refer to teeth that are misaligned. They can be caused by genetics, a misaligned jaw (malocclusion) and bad dental habits like thumb sucking, tongue thrusting, and facial injury. In severe cases, crooked teeth can lead to gum disease or even speech impediments.

What are the Benefits of Invisalign?

  • Invisalign braces can be removed, making it easier to brush and floss to keep your teeth and gums healthy throughout your orthodontic treatment.
  • Invisalign treatment may already make a visible difference to your smile after the first one to two months of treatment.
  • Attend functions and events in confidence with Invisalign braces. Virtually invisible, nobody would notice you're having your teeth straightened.
  • Get straighter teeth more comfortably and predictably thanks to innovative SmartForce and SmarkTrack technologies in Invisalign braces.
  • Invisalign aligners allow you to maintain an active lifestyle comfortably and conveniently since no metal brackets are cutting your mouth.
  • With doctor visits only every 6-8 weeks, Invisalign aligners are ideal even for a hectic lifestyle, allowing you to do more of the things you love.
  • Craving a snack? Since Invisalign aligners are easily removable, you can eat, chew and drink whatever you like.

What is the Invisalign Treatment Process Like?

  • Consultation: The first step towards getting Invisalign braces in Singapore involves consulting with your Invisalign doctor to determine whether you are suitable for the treatment. Your mouth, teeth and jaw will be thoroughly assessed, and your orthodontic needs and goals will be reviewed.
  • Customised Invisalign Treatment: If you’re eligible for Invisalign, the dentist will create and discuss your treatment plan, from cost and steps to expectations and timeline. You will also be taught how to properly care for your aligners.
  • Invisalign Fabrication: Photographs, digital impressions and X-rays of your teeth and jaw will be done to produce an accurate model of your teeth and mouth. These will be sent to the Invisalign manufacturer, alongside your dentist’s treatment plan, to create your custom clear aligners.
  • Aligner Fitting and Attachments: Once the aligners are ready, your Invisalign doctor will initially put on your first trays for you and check if they fit properly. In some cases, the dentist may fix small attachments to your teeth on which the aligners will be mounted to keep the trays in place.
  • Completion of Invisalign Treatment: Your Invisalign doctor will then advise you on your next appointment, which is usually the next time you’ll pick up and wear your new aligners. You typically change to a new set of aligners every 1 to 2 weeks. On average, Invisalign treatment usually takes about 12 to 18 months.

Invisalign FAQs

  • Who Should Get Invisalign?

Invisalign in Singapore is available for teenagers and adults. These clear braces can close the gaps between teeth, treat overbites, underbites, overcrowded teeth, open bites and crossbites. An examination and an X-ray should be done on the patient to determine whether this treatment suits them.

  • Who Should Not Get an Invisalign?

People with gum diseases or cavities may need those issues to be treated first before undergoing Invisalign treatment. People with dental implants, bridges or temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder, and so on, may also not be eligible. However, as eligibility depends on many factors, one should consult a certified Invisalign orthodontist for a detailed assessment.

  • How Painful is Invisalign?

Compared to traditional orthodontic treatments, Invisalign is generally not painful. However, one can still experience temporary, mild discomfort when a new set of aligners are fitted.

  • How Do You Eat or Drink with Invisalign?

As the aligners are removable, they must be taken out and placed in a clean container while eating. When drinking, however, take care not to drink very hot beverages with the aligners on, as they may warp the shape of the plastic aligners. Furthermore, certain beverages, like tea and coffee, stain easily.

  • Is Invisalign Better Than Traditional Braces?

Invisalign is better than traditional braces in terms of it having an invisible appearance, better comfort, shorter treatment duration and convenience in maintenance and eating.

However, it is pricier than traditional braces, and may not be suitable for severe orthodontic issues.

  • Is Invisalign the Same as Clear Aligners?

Many people are confused between Invisalign and clear aligners. Basically, invisible/clear aligners are a type of orthodontic product, whereas Invisalign is a specific brand of clear aligner.

  • How Much Does Invisalign Cost?

PKWY Dental Specialist Practice provides Invisalign in Singapore at an affordable cost, with our all-inclusive package starting from just $2,300.

  • Can Invisalign be used on baby teeth in kids?

Yes, Invisalign can be used for kids who still have baby teeth. It is beneficial in helping a baby’s permanent teeth to grow properly in place later on in life, as the position of a child’s baby teeth can determine where the adult teeth grow in. It also helps to treat existing bite issues caused by poor oral habits such as thumb sucking.
