Generally speaking, you should visit a dentist in Singapore if it is for a routine check-up, cleanings and preventive care. You may also visit a general dentist if it is for diagnostics and other standard procedures like fillings and basic tooth extractions.

However, you should visit a dental specialist in Singapore if you require more advanced and specialized care; such as misaligned teeth and jaw problems, complex tooth extractions, severe gum disease, teeth restorations, full smile makeovers, and so on.

While not all dental treatments can be covered by Medisave and private insurance in Singapore, some can be. This usually includes dental surgery for dental implants, wisdom tooth surgery, bone grafting, gum surgery and so on. Generally speaking, the treatment must be surgical in nature and necessitated by medical reasons and not cosmetic ones. For more specific advice on your case, please enquire with our clinic.
Can I walk in for a dental appointment?
